On October 12 we had our first annual Maryland / DC RRCA Symposium.
We had 37 registrants from 10 Maryland clubs. Everyone seemed to get something out of it — all the participants seemed engaged and appreciative.
A professional governance trainer (Pat Hanberry of Hanberry Associates, LLC, who was terrific by the way) spoke in the morning, and there were afternoon sessions on race directing/management, and on training program management.
The afternoon sessions were facilitated by club leaders who took significant time preparing for the event, and of course facilitating the sessions. We couldn’t have done this without them.
